Modern Remodeled Bathroom

The only full bathroom in a Sunnyvale, CA condo was brought from the 70's with it's linoleum floors to the present with modern touches, a high end marble look with low budget porcelain tile, and some glam. Inspiration The homeowner wanted her remodeled bathroom to look modern and luxurious as well as feel more open than the current bathroom. She liked clean lines and soothing earth tones. The remodel would also have to fit within her small budget. Existing Bathroom Conditions The bathroom was original to the condo built in the 1970's. It had linoleum floors, standard cabinets, off-white walls, a fluorescent bar vanity light, and a solid surface counter and sink combo. A large, frameless mirror above the sink also had two sliding mirrored doors which the homeowner did not like. Looking in at the old bathroom from the hallway. The solid surface counter and sink combo was made to look like marble  but didn't actually look like marble in

Attic Guest Suite

The homeowner wanted to convert his attic into a guest suite complete with a living space, sleeping space, library, and breakfast bar. A previous owner of the home had already installed the carpet and bathroom in the attic. However, with the current owner, it wasn't used for anything other than storage before the conversion into the guest suite. See more photos and details about the project on OVOLO's Houzz project page: http://www.houzz.com/projects/1707980/attic-guest-suite

Quick and Cheap Backyard Entertaining

Inspiration The homeowner wanted an inexpensive solution for converting their driveway from a place to park their car to a space that could be used for entertaining during the hot summers. Furthermore, the homeowners wanted to keep the house shaded so that their energy costs would be lower, keep direct sun off of their container garden so that the plants don't wilt in the summer heat, but at the same time to not completely shade the sun loving plants. Existing Conditions This portion of the driveway was mostly unused and is located behind an existing gate so that the area was already private and secluded from the front yard. This space is a southern exposure so the area is very warm in the summer. There is a container garden of sun loving fruit trees, vegetables, and other plants along the side of the driveway.
